Compliments of The Crusader Athletic Association Inc.
The Crusader Athletic Association is a separate non profit supporting organization of Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School. The goal of the Association is to provide the school some of the best athletic facilities in the Hampton Roads area through private investment from school supporters. Facility upgrades include a new artificial turf field, a 25,000 square foot dome, and new locker rooms.
Total expenses for this undertaking exceed $800,000 and investors have currently provided more than $550,000.

The Crusader Athletic Association has completed phase 1 and phase 2 with the installation of a new state of the art artificial turf field for girls’ field hockey and girl’s lacrosse. Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School is the only school to have this type of state of the art turf field and dome in the state. The climate-controlled Dome covering 25,000 square feet of artificial turf now has been up for 2 winter sessions that run from Nov. 15th thru Mar 1st.
Inside,
the Dome can accommodate 3 separate fields, each 50’ x 100’ (
larger than the standard size of a high school basketball court ). These
fields can be used for indoor soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and many
other activities. The fields will be available for private rental from
5:30 pm until 11:00 pm Monday thru Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday
from November 15th until March 1st. Contact Stephen Adair 430-3500 at

The third phase, a new locker room building next to the football field will have 48 home team lockers and 25 visiting team lockers and is slated for completion in spring of 2010.
